Empowering leadership in children involves doing just that, “empowering” – according to the Free Dictionary means -- giving the authority or power to do something.
Children do not usually feel as if they have authority over themselves, let alone any power to affect positive change on their world. Therefore, it is up to adults to give them the permission, or authority, or power to lead.

Dr. Phil says it all the time, “Perception is reality” and he’s right about that, if you allow it. For each individual, your perception becomes your reality when you are unaware of what you are doing. For example, notice when an event happens to any two or more people. They will have different stories and attach different meanings to the experience unless they collaborate and create the same story.
