Every person is a unique seed in the world’s garden.
Each seed grows a leader from which greatness can blossom.
Imagine the future of our planet if we nurture each child to sprout greatness.

Family Leadership Garden

Dismayed childThe place to build resiliency and nurture a child's leadership

If you're the parent, grandparent, or other family member of a child who is struggling to establish identity, or threatened by bullying, please know that the child you love can be protected. You can help that child gain the skills and confidence to get out from under the bully's thumb.

Children with a strong sense of worth, know that they can achieve what they set out to accomplish—and understand that the journey is gradual. They are always moving forward and know they don't have to do it all at once. These children are nearly immune to bullying. Bullies, facing a resilient child, turn their attention elsewhere.

To start this powerful process, we recommend sitting down and reading U.N.I.Q.U.E. KIDS: Growing My Leadership Garden together with the child or listening along with the audio book and completing the accompanying activities in the My Leadership Garden Journal for kids.

This gentle fable is designed by an educator who has led statewide initiatives, specifically to build self-worth and self-esteem. As the child in your life follows the lost and unconfident sheep Hugh around the Leadership Farm, that child, too will absorb the lessons the other animals impart. You can view an excerpt.

Further support is available if you join the Leadership Garden Registry, an ongoing community where you can share and learn from other Leadership Garden participants around the country.

Founder Debra Slover and her trained and certified coaches and facilitators are also available for individual or group coaching and training in our signature two-day empowerment workshops.
